(Algo|Afro) Futures presents a return of the Creative Coding Circles for 2025! These will be a series of free, relaxed and casual meetups for Black artists and musicians interested in learning about live coding for music and visuals.

Across three sessions beginning 25th March and taking place at Vivid Projects, we will be sampling beginner-friendly creative coding languages including Strudel, Hydra and VCV Rack.

This is a great a opportunity to network with other creatives, make new connections, and learn about creative coding together in a safe and inclusive environment. This is also a great way to sample live coding ahead of the relaunch of the (Algo|Afro) Futures mentoring programme later this year.

The sessions will be lead by (Algo|Afro) Futures founder Antonio Roberts and past participant Tyger Blue.

Requirements:

• A Windows, Mac or Linux laptop
• Firefox or Chrome browser
• Headphones
