Digbeth First Friday
5 September 2014, 6 - 9pm, admission free
Black Hole Club presents ‘Sonification’, an evening of sound, data and performance for Digbeth First Friday. Performances include:
– the premiere of a new live audio visual performance uniting elements of paganism, bass culture, and the uncanny by music video director John Bradburn.
– an audio visual performance built using slow scan TV signals, an obscure format allows video to be recorded onto audio cassette. Michael Lightborne will use an array of cassette decks to feed images to projectors, and to process and manipulate audio into a techno-ambient soundtrack.
– an exploration into the sonification of images by Antonio Roberts, ahead of his performance at glitChicago at the Ukranian Institute of Modern Art on 19 September.
Digbeth comes alive on the first Friday of each month with exhibitions, late night openings, special events, culture in unexpected places, street food, live music and more. For more information please click here.
