Digbeth First Friday
1 April 2016, 19.00-21.00
For one night only Kaye Winwood, in collaboration with chef Chris Hughes, will be creating FOODLab, a pop-up food laboratory at Vivid Projects in response to the current exhibition Silent Signal. Join the duo to explore some of the exhibition themes through a series of tastes, textures and liquids to surprise and delight the senses.
Kaye Winwood produces immersive experiences to explore the rich creative possibilities between food, performance and the visual arts. Chris Hughes is the resident chef at Kitchen School and a regular collaborator with Nomad. Kaye and Chris recently worked together on Diabolical Roses, an alternative dining experience conceived to explore themes of love, sex and unity through food and performance, presented at Vivid Projects February 2016 http://kayewinwood.com/
They are joined at the FOODLab by David Checkley, who will be providing lighting and set design for the event.
This is a free event for the monthly First Friday night in Digbeth, and no booking is required. FOODLab has limited supplies. First come, first served!
